I had the good fortune to weave two giant dancing hares for Glastonbury Festival 2019! I held willow workshops making bird feeders and demonstrated making moon gazing hares with my friend and fellow weaver Shan Isherwood. It was a really fun 4 days of sunshine and fun!! Here are a few pics! Last week we moved the willow T-Rex dinosaur I had woven at Stone Lane Gardens in Chagford, to Canonteign Falls in the Teign Valley, Devon. He is 11ft tall and will live in their fern garden for everyone to come and see. It was great fun weaving him but quite a mission getting him there! Here is Darcy the Unicorn commissioned by Dartington. It was woven to the specifications of Mary Bartlett who has a life long love of Unicorns. It is part gazelle and part lion. It is installed outside the Green Cafe in the Dartington Estate. Dartington, Near Totnes, Devon. I attended Made by Hand at Chltenham this weekend which was a great success. I had the opportunity to show my willow horse at the entrance to the show.
I spent last Sunday morning slightly out of my comfort zone making willow animals with Simon Rimmer, Tim Lovejoy, and Karl Pilkington making willow pigs!! Great Fun!!
